WELCOME TO ATLANTA!

As a young boy (doesn’t every bio start that way?) I watched my parents meticulously renovate our historic Illinois home. I guess I caught the renovation bug because my first home purchase was an early 1900s Avondale Estates farmhouse. My wife and I spent weekends stripping wallpaper, patching plaster walls, rewiring, plumbing and adding a new kitchen and bath.

Along the way our first son was born and we suddenly needed more space. We had obsessively followed the local market and ended up selling our house in two weeks!

In 2002, we discovered our next fixer-upper – a 1963 ranch home that needed some love, but had great bones and a beautifully landscaped yard.

Many years, one kitchen renovation and two more boys later, we feel so happy to be part of our community.
